FAQ
Answers to common questions about alerts
How quickly are alerts triggered?
Alerts are triggered as soon as the monitoring rule detects the defined condition. Depending on the rule type, this can be near real-time or based on a short polling interval. You can also add a confirmation window to avoid false positives.
Can we integrate with our ticketing system?
Yes. NYBS Alerts can notify via email and can also trigger ticket creation through integrations or webhooks (based on your environment). This helps route incidents directly to the right queue with the relevant context.
Can we reduce noise and avoid alert fatigue?
Absolutely. You can tune thresholds, add suppression windows, use severity levels, and group related events. You can also set escalation rules so only high-impact alerts notify instantly, while informational alerts are summarized.
Can we set different recipients per team or app?
Yes. Each alert rule can have its own recipients and routing. You can notify different teams based on application, license pool, department/group, location, or severity, so the right people get the right alerts.
