Solutions / Centralize project-based license management
Project Monitoring
Organize users, track usage, and optimize software by project
NYBS Projects provides a centralized place to create project structures, assign users, and understand software usage in the context that matters, your initiatives. Improve planning, collaboration, and cost attribution with project-level visibility.
Project-based visibility for software decisions
While organizations typically manage software licenses centrally, the actual engineering decisions and resource requirements are driven by specific project needs. This gap often leads to misaligned budgeting and underutilized licenses across the enterprise.
NYBS Projects bridges this divide by aligning software access, usage reporting, and budget allocation directly to your initiatives rather than just departments. This ensures transparency and helps you attribute costs to the teams that consume the resources.
Core functionalities
User assignment
Assign users (and optionally groups) to projects so teams have the right access and a shared operational context.
Reporting & dashboards

Project Monitoring FAQs
What is a ‘Project’ in NYBS?
A Project is a way to organize users and reporting around an initiative (program, product, client, or internal project). It adds project context to usage data so you can manage demand and decisions by initiative, not only by department.
How do we assign users to projects?
You can assign users manually, import lists (e.g., CSV), or align projects with existing groups where it makes sense. This keeps project membership easy to maintain as teams change.
What can we report on at the project level?
You can view utilization, sessions, denials, peak demand, top users, and application/feature usage by project. This helps compare initiatives, identify bottlenecks, and plan renewals and expansions with better accuracy.
Can Projects support budgeting and showback/chargeback?
Yes. Projects can be aligned to cost centers or internal budgets so you can attribute software usage and availability impact to the initiatives that consume them. Reports can be exported to finance or BI dashboards.
